Old Business Intelligence

Traditional business intelligence platforms were based on OLAP cubes, required up to 17 months on average to implement, were beyond the budget of small and medium sized and could only be used by a limited number of highly trained end users. Even worse, companies that implemented an OLAP based BI platform were often unable to evaluate their business intelligence platform until after it was implemented. Any additional changes required additional months of IT support. A new approach to business intelligence was needed.

Enter QlikView

Founded in 1993, with a vision of an easy to use, real time business intelligence platform and Moore’s Law on their side, QlikTech set out to create the future of business intelligence. That vision led to the creation of the QlikView business platform. Using their patented in-memory business intelligence technology QlikView quickly established itself as one of the fastest growing platforms within the business intelligence market space. Today with the continuing fall in the cost of memory, QlikView is poised to move from being a visionary to establishing itself as a leader within the business intelligence.
